Foldaway Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 24, 2026
Foldaway is a paper-arrow puzzle game made by AppFellas Development. This page explains what the game keeps, what its advertising partner collects, and how you can control it.
What Foldaway keeps, and where
Foldaway has no server and no sign-in. Everything it remembers is saved in the game's own storage on your phone:
- the sheets you have finished and the stars you earned on each
- the origami figures you have folded, and the stamps on your Daily sheet calendar
- how many hints you have left and which paper you are using
- your settings: sound, musical folds, vibration, reduce motion, hearts, bold arrows, shape markers, appearance, language
- a sheet you left unfinished, so you can pick it up later
- whether you have seen the tutorial, how many days you have played, and when the store’s rating window last appeared, so it shows up only rarely
None of this is sent to us or to anyone else. Uninstalling Foldaway deletes it.
On Android, if you have turned on device backup, Android may include this game data in your phone's backup to your Google account and restore it on a new phone. That backup is made by Android under your Google account settings; Foldaway does not upload anything itself.
Ads
Foldaway is free to play and shows ads from Google AdMob through the Google Mobile Ads SDK:
- Full-screen ads can appear only between sheets, after you have finished one. They never appear at launch, never while you are solving a sheet, and never after any of the first seven levels. They are spaced out: at most one every three finished levels, at least two and a half minutes apart, and no more than six in one session.
- Rewarded ads play only when you choose them, for an extra hint or an extra heart.
- A banner may show at the bottom of the game screen.
- Ad content is limited to the "PG" maturity level.
To show and measure ads and to prevent ad fraud, the Google Mobile Ads SDK collects information from your device, such as your device's advertising identifier (on iPhone, only if you allow tracking), your IP address (which gives an approximate location), how you interact with ads, and diagnostic and performance information.
Google handles this data under its own privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy. How Google uses information from apps that use its services: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Your choices
- Europe (EEA), UK and Switzerland. The first time you open Foldaway, Google's consent form asks how your data may be used for ads. You can change your answer at any time under Settings → Privacy options in the game.
- iPhone. After the consent step, iOS asks whether Foldaway may track you across other companies' apps and websites. If you choose "Ask App Not to Track", ads are not personalised with your advertising identifier. You can change this later in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
- Android. You can reset or delete your advertising ID in your phone's settings (Google → Ads, or Privacy → Ads, depending on the device).
Whatever you choose, the game plays the same.
Children
Foldaway is a puzzle for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. The game itself collects no personal information from anyone, and its ad requests are not marked as directed at children.
Changes
If anything described here changes, for example a new kind of ad or an in-app purchase, this page will be updated and the date at the top will change.
