Starloom Privacy Policy

Starloom (“the app”) is a single-player logic puzzle published by AppFellas. This policy explains what information the app handles and why.

The short version

• No account, no sign-in, no personal profile.
• Your progress, settings and statistics stay on your device.
• The app is free because it shows ads from Google AdMob. Ads may use your device’s advertising identifier and related device data, subject to the choices you make in the consent message and in your device settings.

Information stored on your device

Level results, the daily puzzle calendar and streak, unfinished boards, settings (theme, sound, language and so on) are saved locally on your device. They are not sent to us. Deleting the app deletes them.

The optional daily reminder is a local notification scheduled by your device. No server is involved, and the app only asks for notification permission after you choose to turn the reminder on.

Sharing a result creates an image and a short text on your device and passes them to the system share sheet. The image never contains the puzzle’s solution. Nothing is uploaded by the app.

Advertising (Google AdMob)

The app shows a banner, occasional full-screen ads between levels and optional rewarded ads. These are served by Google AdMob. To deliver, measure and, where permitted, personalise ads, Google may collect and process:

• your device’s advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS only if you allow tracking; Android advertising ID),
• IP address and approximate location derived from it,
• device and app information (model, operating system, language, app version),
• ad interactions (views, taps).

Your choices

• In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland and other regions that require it, a consent message from Google appears on first launch. You can change your choice at any time from Settings → Privacy options in the app.
• On iOS, the app asks for App Tracking Transparency permission. If you do not allow it, the advertising identifier is not shared and the game works exactly the same. You can change this in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
• On Android, you can reset or delete your advertising ID in the system settings.
• Watching one rewarded video turns banners and full-screen ads off for 30 minutes.

The app’s ad requests are configured for general-audience content (rated G).

Analytics and crash reporting

The current version of the app does not include a third-party analytics or crash-reporting service.

Children

Starloom is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Data retention and deletion

We do not hold any personal data about you on our own servers. Data kept by Google for advertising is governed by Google’s policies. Uninstalling the app removes everything stored on your device.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at this address with a new date.
